02 · Evidence

Security posture

What to check before giving this server access to your agent - from the registry, GitHub, and our own probes. We don't score safety; we show what's verifiable.

runs as local process (stdio) - runs on your machine with your user's permissions

repo age created 2026-07-03 - young repo, little track record yet

license MIT - declared in the repository

npm package tyrekick-mcp - unscoped; check the name against the project README before installing

registry namespace io.github.richardofortune is GitHub-verified and matches the repo owner

03 · What Tyrekick can do

Prose above is summarized from the project's README and registry record - no invented capabilities.

Limitations (from the README)

This is deliberately a zero-backend tool. That comes with tradeoffs: - Receipts close the loop on the worker path only. With the Cloudflare destination, resolving a comment turns the reviewer's pin green with the resolution note attached; on Discord (write-only) there is no read-back. - Reviews are per-browser by default. Two reviewers each see their own pins, not each other's; comments meet at the destination, not o

What is Tyrekick?

Kick the tyres before you ship it. Get people you trust to review your AI-built prototype - and let your coding agent act on what they say. It runs locally over stdio via the published package.

Is Tyrekick still maintained?

Yes - as of 2026-08-25, its last commit was 2026-08-07. We re-verify nightly.

How do I install Tyrekick?

Run `npx -y tyrekick-mcp`. The README documents 2 environment variables (TYREKICK_URL, TYREKICK_TOKEN) to set first. Set TYREKICK_URL, TYREKICK_TOKEN before connecting. You can also paste the ready-made client config above.
